Alternative Rite of Passage (ARP)

Introduced in 1996, ARP offers a culturally respectful alternative to FGM, preserving the significance of traditional rites while eliminating physical harm. Over 8,000 girls have graduated from this program, gaining knowledge in reproductive health, human rights, and life skills.

Sister To School

In partnership with the Women’s Global Education Project, this initiative provides scholarships and mentorship to vulnerable girls, enabling them to pursue education and avoid early marriages. To date, 162 girls have graduated, with over 300 currently enrolled.

Sisters Read

The Sister Read Program nurtures a culture of reading among young girls and boys, providing mentorship, access to books, and guided discussions that build confidence, improve literacy, and empower participants to pursue education and leadership roles while fostering unity and personal growth.

Safe Male Circumcision Program

The TWWP offers boys a safe circumcision experience, paired with mentorship on life skills, FGM awareness, and fostering respectful, collaborative relationships with girls.
